Our practice is well aware that many patients are concerned about undergoing Spinal Manipulation that involves a twisting or the neck where they hear a popping sound.  Even though Spinal Manipulation involves an actual minimal movement of the spine the sound many peple hear is simply a slight shift of gas within the spinal joints.  This is relatively harmless and research has shown that it is rare to ever experience a problem following Spinal Manipulation by a Chiropractor.  Therefore, to accommodate this concern, Dr. Wieder is trained in several Adjusting (Spinal Manipulation) procedures that do not involve any twisting or 'popping' of the vertebral segments. The following techinques are offered in the ofice of Dr. Neal Wieder in his Sanford/Lake Mary, Florida office:
