I began treatment with Dr. Wieder in December 2008, due to ongoing problems with my neck. The diagnosis had been deterioration of my cervical discs and stenosis in my neck.  This had had caused numbness and tingling that radiated done both arms, hands and fingers.  Although the sensations were not constant it was painful and at time caused me to awaken at night regularly.

Since I have been in treatment with Dr. Wieder the pain, numbness and tingling have continued to lessen.  His holistic approach to treatment has assisted me in the improvement of my chronic problems.  I received a combination of spinal decompression therapy, acupuncture, chiropractic adjustments and therapy.

In Dr. Wieder's holistic approach to treatment, he also addressed my total health.  Bloodwork had been done by my medical doctor in October of 2008 and that time my total cholesterol was 216, HDL was 76 and LDL level was 131.  Following taking specific supplements that lower cholesterol recommended by Dr. Wieder my followup bloodwork on March 17, 2009 revealed a marked improvement as follows: total cholesterol dropped to 176, HDL was 64, and my LDL was 101.  Dr. Wieder mad some specific changes in my diet and increased my exercise.  Needless to say my medical doctor was impressed and saw no need to prescribe any type of statin drugs for me.

Well, what can I say except that, Dr. Neal Wieder, Holistic Practitioner is a "miracle worker". When I arrived in his office 2 years ago, I couldn't stop crying due to the pain I was in. I had been suffering from chronic Migraines since childhood (I am 53), since 2002 they were with me 24/7.  In addition, I developed and was diagnosed with Fibromyalgia also.  I had been treated by many medical doctors, at University hospitals, migraine clinics and no one knew what to do with me except increase increase the prescription dosage they were giving me.  I was on so many drugs I had to carry a list around with me.  I had taken Neurontin to Morphine and even had Botox injections to my head and neck.  Nothing helped. When I met Dr. Neal Wieder in 2005 I could barely jog a mile, getting out of bed was a chore, my Diabetes I was out of control as my serum glucose levels were way too high, I was lacking in energy and I was sure I was on the way to also suffering with a Thyroid condition. This is not supposed to happen to me I'm only 26 years old. I didn't smoke, I was not overweight and I surely didn't drink alcohol.  My parents flew in from Michigan to meet with Dr. Wieder and I. When we left his office my Dad and Mom, said do whatever he tells you to do, God sent us to him for a reason, we are sure he will help you.  I had already been to other doctors back in Michigan who tried with various high quality vitamins to no avail. Dr. Wieder, assured me on the first and second visits that things will get better and as time goes on and my body changed he would customize a wellness program that worked for me.  Was he ever right. Success Story:

In 2002 I slipped and fell, severely injured my knee.  Just imagine having your kneecap and knee go
backwards the wrong way.  The result was fracturing the knee joint and leg bones, tearing and stretching the adjacent muscles and ligaments and damaging the nerves that control my lower leg, calf and foot.  I had what was called "foot drop".  On top of that I developed excruciating nerve pain in the calf of the injured leg that felt like someone was scratching glass on the inside of my leg. For several years I could not sleep with even a sheet touching the calf due to the pain it would create. I was placed on every pain medicine one could imagine as I was told I had no other options.   My medical doctors fitted me with a plastic calf and foot support that i had to wear in order to walk. Needless to say wearing a pair of nice high heels was out of my life and I had to drag my leg around in an oversized pair of sandals. As a result of this Imagine being on pain medications for over four years, from morning to before bed and in the middle of the night.  I had to give up my career as a full-time Respiratory Therapist at a local hospital.  Ther was no way I could walk for more than 30 minutes without having to sit and there was no way I could push the equipment through the hospital I had to use on patients. What followed was depression, weight gain and a feeling of being overwhelmed with losing my career that I had worked so very hard to obtain. I am a retired professional basketball player that grew up in Sanford, Florida and went on to play in England on a British professional basketball team.  One day while playing, I went to take a lay up shot and fell directly on my buttocks.  What followed was a combination of severe lower back pain, difficulty walking, loss of balance, reduction in my coordination and leg pains that wouldn't let up.  I saw an Osteopathic Doctor in England who treated me with medication and manipulations.  I improved somewhat but not significantly.  My balance was still not right and my coordination was poor at best, especially for a 6 foot 10 inch professional basketball player.  I was communicating with my grandmother about my condition who is a resident of Sanford, Florida.  Needless to say, she told me about this doctor in Sanford that a relative of her had went to that had helped her with injuries from an autombile accident.  The next day I was on a plane from England to Orlando, to come and see Dr. Wieder.  The only challenge that Dr. Wieder thought I would have was walking into the treatment room withut hittng my head.  I told him I learned that lesson long ago.  We got right to work with reprogramming my nervous system with the Laser Acupuncture treatments Dr. Wieder recommended.  He had told me that any 6 foot 10 inch tall person falling down from the sky while playing basketball was going to surely traumatize the nervous system upon landing on the basketball court.  In the first few treatments Dr. Wieder helped eliminate my back and leg pains.  Then on one treatment day he said we were going outside his office and work on the grass to help correct my coordination and balance issues.  It was pretty amusing having this 5 foot 11 inch doctor run circles around me from the get go.  Within a short period of time Dr. Wieder's Laser treatments had me moving the way I normally would, fluidly and with excellent coordination.  When the two weeks were up Dr. Wieder had me back in shape good enough to go back and play professionally if I wanted to.
